Dear Mr. Gile,
I heard you speak during your evening program at our school and want to tell you that I enjoyed your speech very much. As a matter of fact, I feel like it changed my life. I have three little girls at home. I used to spend a lot of time with them reading, doing crafts, baking, etc. However, I now have a problem which I was ignoring until I heard your speech. I am an Internet addict. My children have suffered because of this. I no longer spend the time with them that I used to. After you spoke, I started thinking about how little I actually talked to my children and what little interaction I had with them that didn't involve me asking them to do something like get dressed. I finally broke down and confessed to my husband that I had a problem. He and I are working together to beat this addiction and I am spending more time with my girls. I think that I have read more to them in this past week than I did in the whole previous year. I want to thank you for opening my eyes to the fact that my children need me desperately. — K.B., Suburban Chicago
